About

The Old Mill is nestled on the banks of Lake Henry and the Trempealeau River. Lake Henry is one of the most beautiful parks in the area. Each year two or three whitetail deer fawns are raised in a pen at the east entrance of the park.

For all the fishing enthusiasts, you can fish Lake Henry right off the deck, or travel 35 miles to the Mississippi River.

During the hunting season, Jackson County and the Black River State Forest offers over 200,000 acres of promising public hunting land. Large deer, bears, wolves, coyotes, and turkeys have all been spotted in the area.

Visit Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources or nearby Jackson County Forestry and Parks for more information on hunting and fishing, as well as public snowmobile/ATV trails.

Ladies, while the guys are out, don’t forget to check out the local wineries, casinos, and shops. There’s something for everyone!
